Now that you have made that bold decision to build a home of your dream, it absolutely important to get the best home you can imagine. Do you require separate formal and informal spaces for different occasions? Do you wish to add workshop and garage facilities adjoining the house? Once a comprehensive list is made, consider the major elements you would like to have in your new home; the style, number of floors, total area of livable spaces with outdoor living areas, total number of baths and bed rooms, the number of formal and informal gathering areas and the type of kitchen you need. Just ponder over about your children; perhaps right now your kids might be staying with you, so a two story house sounds like a good idea. But in future, if they are going off on their own, a big home might be too big to maintain!
With the spade work ready, there are dozens of factors that can immensely impact how your home suits your life style. First and foremost, always allocate your budget to your future home. Two of the main things that affect a homes cost are its size and features; a large house with many features will invariably cost more. It is possible to have a comfortable home with many features, at an affordable cost too. Designers can make house feel larger than actually it is.
